Healthcare Simulation

Scenario Generator was developed in collaboration with the NHS in England. It underwent 18 months of field testing in a large number of Primary Care Trusts and other NHS organisations across England. Following a rigorous internal review in February 2008, a final phase of development was completed in October 2008, since when it has become a commercial product marketed and supported by SIMUL8 Corporation.

Over 80% of Primary Care Trusts in England have a license for the Scenario Generator and have used it to simulate a range of healthcare planning questions such as:

• Impact of population growth of healthcare services
• Effective models of urgent care across organisational boundaries
• Specific care pathways including: dermatology, heart failure and treatment interventions, COPD, end of life
• Delivering care outside hospital
• Implementing screening programmes

Scenario Generator is now also being used by Healthcare Providers in Scotland and Italy
