As the NHS undergoes reform, following the White Paper, Equity and excellence: Liberating the NHS, many Primary Care Trust staff who have started to develop modelling and simulation capability to support them in planning and commissioning health and social care for their population, risk losing this expertise.
The NHS Institute and SIMUL8 Corporation have invested a considerable resource to bring the benefits of simulation into the health service, and have developed the Scenario Generator Practitioner Scheme to support individuals through this time of change to ensure as far as possible that the progress is not lost.

Who can become a Practitioner?
Any Scenario Generator user who has undertaken a modelling project which has been published as a case study is eligible to join the scheme.
I would like to become a Practitioner, but I haven’t completed a modelling project?
You will probably need some support to develop a model. If your PCT is on an annual maintenance scheme, then this support is available to you through the scheme. So, choose your project and use our service to support you through it. If you complete the project and allow us to publish a case study, you become a Practitioner.
